Fairtrade
Slikweid is a registered Fairtrade partner.
We include Fairtrade-certified flowers in our assortment to ensure greater transparency and responsibility in our supply chain. The Fairtrade certification guarantees that producers meet internationally recognized standards for fair working conditions, wages, and sustainable practices.
Using the Fairtrade mark allows us to communicate this commitment to our customers and business partners clearly. It supports our goal of offering high-quality products with traceable, ethical sourcing.
Our Certification
Kenya Flower Council
Slikweid sources part of its flower assortment from farms certified by the Kenya Flower Council (KFC). KFC is an independent organization that promotes responsible and sustainable floriculture in Kenya, one of the world’s leading flower exporters.
By working with KFC Silver and Gold Standard-certified farms, we support environmentally sound cultivation methods, fair labor conditions, and full compliance with international quality and safety standards. Partnering with KFC-aligned growers allows us to ensure consistent product quality and a transparent, accountable supply chain from field to customer.
Global G.A.P.
Slikweid works with selected producers who are certified under Global G.A.P., the international standard for responsible and sustainable flower production. The certification ensures that flowers are cultivated using environmentally conscious methods, with attention to worker health, safety, and resource efficiency. By sourcing from Global G.A.P.-certified farms, we promote transparency, accountability, and consistent quality across our supply chain — from greenhouse to delivery.
